Pisa Guided Tour

    After the guide tour of the miracle square we will begin a fascinating tour through the narrow mediaeval streets of Pisa, and along the romantic banks of the River Arno. We will visit the square which is the site of the tower in which Count Ugolino starved, as featured in Dante, and the famous Scuola Normale Superiore, the university from which Carducci, the first Italian Nobel prize winner, graduated. We will see the birthplace of Galileo and many beautiful old churches and palaces. We will stop on the banks of the River Arno, for a photo in front of the leaning house of Pisa where is the historic café of Pisa dating back to the 18th century where Mazzini, Guerrazzi and other important personalities set Italian unification in motion. e visit the old University of Pisa in which Galileo worked as professor of mathematician.
